Kootenay River Network - B.C.KRN-BC was formed in 2004 to facilitate Water Education and Water Conservation projects in British Columbia. KRN-BC is a Registered Charitable Society with a transboundary Board. The KRN-BC Board includes members from Montana and Idaho. This is in keeping with our view of the Kootenay River as an intact ecosystem. KRN-BC's major Water Education projects include a Stream Trailer for demonstrating creek and watershed dynamics and Creek Science -- a series of field study lessons for Grade 4-7 that integrate Science and Math curriculums. KRN-BC's major conservation project has been the Restoration of Joseph Creek at Kinsmen Park in Cranbrook. The project is coordinated through the Joseph Creek Community Action Team, a composite of various local organizations. |
